All I want to say is turn down the Rabid Fan Girl whining! It makes you look stupid and other fans like me embarassed: to be grouped in the same catagory and be seen even looking at the books in the bookstore. yeah I know some of you think "Who cares what other people think about your tastes?" I don't care what anyone thinks of my taste in literature I have read many things besides Twilight and therefore have taste! What I care about is today in Borders some guy was walking up to talk to ME let me repeat that ME until he saw that I was standing in front of the Twilight display talking with a girl whose friend was gushing over the Edward Cullen action figure. (Jumping up and down making weird noises that technically you should only hear in a bedroom) How did I know he was going to talk to me? He followed me about the store and tried to corner me a couple times and then did the cute "oh er yeah" noises guys make when they are nervous. I can see how this gentle sort of stalking is flattering, I don't think he was going to follow me home and figure out where my spare house key is hidden and climb through my window to watch me sleep. I don't think he was sparkly and wanted to kill me because I smell good. I am a Twilight fan, I do not scream and jump up and down unless a shirtless Taylor is in sight, even when he is I can control myself in public. Girls listen to me and understand IT IS A BOOK and not even an EPIC BOOK. Twilight is a sad sad jumble of thesaurus rape and stalkers. Star Trek, Star Wars, Tolkien and Harry Potter are a way of life. You can dress up as characters in public, no conventions, movies, parades, or Halloween holidays are required when you feel like sporting your jedi robes and trusty plastic lightsaber in my book Hell I'll even join in. I am a Jedi Knight and own a extending lightsaber, I'm a Trekkie Live long and Prosper I have to fix Holo Deck four because it breaks evey time the captain sets foot inside of it. I have pointy elf ears and the dress to be a Lothlorien elf or I can be a really tall Hobbit, find me a man tall, blonde and Slytherin; I'll go as Pansy Parkinson or Bushy haired Granger (Dramione shipper). I carry a towel with me and the answer is forty two. I am searching for the six fingered man who killed my father. I'll go storm the castle guarded by sixty men. the cut on my arm is really only just a flesh wound. I am a knight who says Ni! I wear tight tights. I was so going to kill my teacher with a flaregun. Eulalia!‎ I am a Twilight fan I do not read the books over and over again and carve Edward Quotes into my skin. I do not jump up and down when I see an Edward shirt or other Twilight memorabilia. (I have yet to see any shirts that have a certain half naked werewolf.) The behavior of these RFG makes me ashamed to be a twilight fan.
AND LATER I was gleaning the web for some reliable information (please feel free to laugh at the previous comment) and I decided I wanted a decent looking Jacob Black icon. I find one posted in a forum and all you see is either "I hate Jacob Black but Taylor is soo cute" or "OMJ dies and faints" and then I spotted a link that said RobertPattinson was gonna quit (again the reliable information comment comes to mind) and the entire page was messages that consisted of "NOOOOOO ROB DON'T QUIT IF UR READIN THIS DON'T QUIT I BEG YOU" or "Robert Pattinson is the entire image of the Twilight series and the franchise will die if he leaves" and "Summit can't do that he's such a good actor and ome I love Rob Pattinson" I was so shocked and apalled that not only do innocent little girls talk like this but women older than myself behave this way.
